Since 1970, the North York Temple Band’s mission, as a vital part of the corps (church) ministry, has been to spiritually nourish its members, while evangelizing the gospel of Jesus Christ to people around the world. Throughout its rich heritage, the band has dedicated all its efforts to the glory of God. Under Bandmaster Glenn Barlow, the band has been privileged to participate in a broad spectrum of music ministries within the community. From Sunday nursing homes and morning worship services, to the stage of Roy Thomson Hall, the band continues to thank God for its ministry opportunities and, through prayer and action, continues to rededicate its services back to Him. In January 2005, the band was privileged to participate in “Concert for Asia – In Aid of Tsunami Relief” at Roy Thomson Hall. The event, which was an overwhelming success, was made possible by the participation of many of Canada’s top artists including Michael Burgess, the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, Amadeus Choir and the Elmer Iseler Singers. Our desire for you the listener is that you would be refreshed, revitalized, and above all moved closer to a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. |
